This season's Premier League title race continues to be unpredictable. It is a three-way fight between Arsenal, Liverpool, and defending champions Manchester City, with little to separate them and less than ten matches left to play.
After missing out on last season's title, Arsenal have done well to hang in the race, thanks to some superb form since the turn of the new year. The Gunners won their first eight league matches of 2024, scoring at least three goals in all but two of those victories.
Their presence has made the Premier League winner odds market very interesting, as they are by no means out of the running. But Arsenal still have a massive task on their hands to beat both Liverpool and Manchester City to the punch.
After a 1-1 draw between Liverpool and City in mid-February, neither team gained a significant advantage in the title race, leaving things wide open.
The constantly shifting Premier League odds between these three contenders have made this an absorbing campaign, with no clear picture of who will come out on top.
Premier League Betting at Betsafe
This 2023–24 Premier League title race has been one of the most gripping and unpredictable races in a while. For so long, it was a three-way fight at the top of the table between Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool.
Liverpool's Premier League odds drifted late into the season as their form deserted them at the wrong time. Their chance at the title reached the point of being out of their own hands, instead requiring Man City or Arsenal to slip up.
But after Arsenal's collapse in last season's title challenge, the Gunners have proven to be made of much sterner stuff this time around. They continued to march strongly, sitting at the summit with just three games left of their season.
Manchester City, seeking a historic fourth straight Premier League crown, also remained in powerful form and on Arsenal's heels. With a game in hand, the Citizens' title defence rested in their own hands. They just needed to win all of their remaining games to keep the title in the Northwest.
The Premier League odds in the 'Outright Winner' Market have been absorbing all season, but Manchester City, for the most part, have not been shaken from its position as favourites.
Top Four Finish
With Arsenal, Man City, and Liverpool all comfortably securing top-four finishes, there is now a close race for that final spot to reach the Champions League next season.
The Premier League odds for a 'Top 4 Finish', a fight between Aston Villa and Tottenham for much of the campaign, swung to Villa's favour late into the campaign. Villa kept picking up crucial points as challengers Tottenham lost ground in the race with back-to-back defeats in April, one in the North London derby against rivals Arsenal.
With English clubs not going deep enough in this season's European club competitions to boost the country's coefficient, fifth place will mean Europa League action only next season for one of them.
Premier League Relegation
Sheffield United were the first team to be relegated from this season's Premier League. They dipped out with three games left to play. The tough campaign for the Blades saw them collect only three wins and sixteen points by that stage.
Everton and Brentford both produced better form towards the end of the season to ease relegation concerns. Having spent so much of the season in the bottom three, Burnley also started picking up points after looking doomed, but ultimately also ended up getting relegated before the end of the season.
EPL Top Goalscorer Standings
The sensational scoring form of Chelsea youngster Cole Palmer saw a surprise name creep into the 'Premier League Top Goalscorer' market. Palmer had done enough in front of goal at one point to pull level at the top of the charts with Manchester City's big goal-scoring machine.
A couple of other late-season contenders crept up the charts as well. The super form of Ollie Watkins, who could potentially be firing the Villains to the Champions League next season, and Newcastle's Alexander Isak put them both in close contention for the 'Premier League Golden Boot' for a while.
