We love sports. Football, Tennis, F1, MMA, you name it! Here are the sports highlights for the coming week.
We were kept busy this week with a number of Cups and League matches being played across the major European countries. It’s a return to domestic league action however in what is the penultimate week before another International break.
Leagues of Legends Ahead
With one eye on the Champions League round the coming week, PSG (1.20) and Ajax (1.12) have easy tasks, on paper, against Dijon and PEC Zwolle respectively on Friday night.
In the English Premier League, Manchester United (2.20) kick-off proceedings early when they travel to the south coast to face Bournemouth. Both Liverpool (1.35) and Manchester City (1.10) play at the same time for the first time this season and they are the highlight of the 16:00 matches. The Reds travel to Aston Villa while Manchester City have a repeat of their Tuesday cup match when they host Southampton again. Later on, Watford entertain Chelsea (1.65) in the late kick-off. On Sunday, Leicester City (2.10) hope to keep their momentum going when they travel to Crystal Palace’s Selhurst Park and later, two managers under intense pressure, Marco Silva and Pocchetino, face off when Everton (2.75) and Tottenham (2.55) meet.
In Italy, all teams involved in the Champions League play on Saturday the result being an afternoon to savour for any football fan. Roma (2.55) host Napoli (2.60) at the Stadio Olimpico at 15:00 after which Inter Milan (2.10) can overlap Juventus with a win at Bologna. Should that happen that would be short-lived as the Turin derby between Torino and Juventus (1.55) gets underway late in the evening. On Sunday Milan (2.85) – Lazio (2.50) is the definite pick of the matches. Over in Spain, Barcelona (1.30) can make it eight wins in a row against Levante. Sevilla (2.35) lock horns with Atletico Madrid and rounding off the action on Saturday, Real Madrid (1.30) host Real Betis. It is very tight at the top in the German Bundesliga as just five points separate the top ten. This week Bayern Munich (1.40) travel west to play Frankfurt and Dortmund (1.50) host Wolfsburg while table-toppers Monchengladbach play away to Bayern Leverkusen (2.00).
