16.04.22 – Manchester City vs Liverpool – FA Cup
The first of this weekend’s FA Cup semi-finals is a repeat of last weekend’s Premier League clash that ended in a highly entertaining draw.
This time there has to be a winner, but it’s certainly a tough one to predict.
Liverpool had the easier of midweek matches as they were able to rest many of their star players against Benfica whereas Manchester City had a bruising encounter with Atletico Madrid in the Spanish capital and have lost Kyle Walker and Kevin de Bruyne for this fixture.
Liverpool will certainly be the fresher of the two teams.
This season it has been impossible to separate these two clubs, with two draws in the league so far and only one point separating them in the league.
The first trophy of the season went Liverpool’s way as they continue on their hunt for an unprecedented four trophies in one season, whereas Manchester City will be hoping to get to their first final of the season.
